China sent a «frightening» message to Russia amid the crisis in Kazakhstan

China promised its support to the Russian Federation after Russian peacekeepers were deployed in Kazakhstan. According to British journalist Jon King, the Chinese message sounded quite intimidating to the world community. Reported by the Daily Express.

"The world held its breath when China swore allegiance to Russia in a terrifying warning," the author of the British edition notes.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, said that China supports the actions of the Russian military in the framework of a peacekeeping mission to assist Kazakhstan. The latter faced mass riots and asked for help from members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). According to the Chinese diplomat, the CSTO has played a positive role in restoring stability in the Central Asian state.

Wang Yi told Sergey Lavrov that China and Russia, as permanent members of the UN Security Council and friendly neighbors of Central Asian countries, should not allow chaos or war to arise in the region. He added that both sides should continue to deepen coordination and cooperation, counteract the interference of external forces in the internal affairs of the Central Asian states.

" Mr. Wang also called on Russia to support the Beijing-led Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a security alliance that includes China, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and India," the Daily Express columnist reports.

John King compared the statement of the Chinese minister with an oath of allegiance to Russia. The journalist believes that these words sounded quite frightening since currently, Russia's relations with Western countries are experiencing a sharp decline.
