In Arizona, the «Trump wall» began to collapse

The border wall on the border with Mexico, built under former U.S. President Donald Trump, began to collapse due to rains. In the photos published on the website Gizmodo.com, you can see the shifted panels, under which you can see the blurred soil and puddles.

The photos were taken near a ranch located between the city of Douglas, Arizona, and the San Bernardino Wildlife Sanctuary. In this area, twice as much precipitation fell as usual, which caused flooding of the border between the states of Arizona (USA) and Sonora (Mexico).

Donald Trump announced the construction of a wall on the border with Mexico in 2015 at the beginning of the presidential election campaign. According to his idea, the “wall” was supposed to protect the United States from the penetration of illegal migrants. The construction of the fence with a length of 1.1 thousand km cost the country's budget $21 billion.

His successor, Joe Biden, suspended the construction of the wall as part of the cancellation of the “zero tolerance” policy. As a result, a flood of refugees poured from Mexico to the United States. Only in March 2021, almost 100 thousand illegal immigrants were detained at the border with this country. This was a record figure for the last 15 years.
