In Britain, the symptoms of the COVID strain «Delta» were revealed

The Delta coronavirus strain, also known as B. 1.617.2, has spread to more than 60 countries in the past six months. Studies show that “Delta” is 60% more contagious than the previously dominant strain, the “Kent” variant.

To date, scientists have been able to identify symptoms that may indicate the presence of this strain in the body. We are talking about hearing disorders, severe stomach disorders, and thrombosis, leading to gangrene, according to Express.co.uk.

It is also noted that with the strain of coronavirus infection “Delta”, doctors in India associate symptoms that are usually not detected in patients with COVID.

In Britain, preliminary evidence suggests that the strain that now dominates leads to higher risks of hospitalization.

“Obviously, this strain acts somewhat differently,” said Professor Tim Spector.

The scientist compared the common symptoms of “Delta” with the signs of the usual “seasonal cold”. It turned out that the manifestations of both diseases often coincide so that people can absolutely not pay attention to them.

Young people are likely to have “less pronounced symptoms,” which can “manifest as a severe cold or a strange malaise,” the professor said.

At the same time, Tim Spector advised people who are feeling unwell to take a PCR test. It is better to stay at home until the results of the study are received.
