South Koreans in costumes from the «Squid Game» staged a protest

Thousands of people held a protest in Seoul and other cities of South Korea. At the same time, the protesters dressed up as the characters of the TV series "The Squid Game," CBS News reports.

It is reported that the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), which organized the nationwide demonstration, demanded to increase the number of jobs and improve working conditions.

About 80 trade union members came out to protest in pink overalls and masks with white circles, squares, or triangles, which were worn by the guards against the "Squid Game". They beat drums too loud music and carried flags and signs bearing the words "Inequality" and "Safe youth employment, quality youth employment".

Demonstrations were held in 13 cities. About 80 thousand people took part in the NIC, of which 27 thousand were in Seoul. Information about the detainees was not received.

Previously located in the South Korean city of Gangneung, St. John's Hotel announced a survival battle from the TV series "The Squid Game".

Before that, it became known that the "Squid Game" became the most popular project in the history of Netflix. Since September 17, when the premiere took place, this series has been watched 111 million times.
