In the Philippines, customs officers destroyed 21 supercars

The excavator first crushed the cars of the Porsche, Bentley, and McLaren brands, after which it broke through their roofs with a bucket.

Philippine customs officers destroyed a batch of premium cars imported into the country illegally. The corresponding video is published on the customs service's Youtube page.

The caption to the video states that on June 18, 21 cars were destroyed in the cities of Manila and Cagayan de Oro. The amount of destroyed equipment amounted to $1.2 million.

So, the excavator first crushed cars, among which there were rare models, and then broke through their roofs with a bucket.

According to media reports, the initiator of the action was the President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte. Previously, illegally imported cars were sold at auctions, but it soon became known that they were bought mainly by representatives of the criminal community. In this regard, the authorities have banned such events.

As reported, in October last year, Rimac conducted active safety tests of two of its high-speed cars worth two million dollars each. Both cars were smashed.
